Cori is a fruit bowl, a centerpiece, inspired by the shape of Sicily, wants to represent what “is typically Sicilian”, through a series of symbolical elements. The shape of a heart results from the combination of its volumes; its dialectal name “Cori” (heart) namely expresses, often in a dramatic way, a person’s strongest and most passionate feelings. Its hollow shape is contrasted with a protruding part on the left, representing Mount Aetna volcano, from whose “crater” the fragrance of orange blossom will be spread by small red wicker sticks, symbolizing an eruption.
